Yevgeny Petrov, born in 1972, is one of Europe’s most accomplished watercolourists. Though rarely used as a medium by contemporary artists, Petrov proves himself the master even in a classical, traditional style. The size of his works is monumental, their accuracy astonishing. However, the technique is less important than the subject matter, observations of life, of social phenomena in his native Odessa.

Author of lots of individual projects, among them: «PETROV’S DOGS» (2014 – Riga, Latvia) and BREAKWATER (2015 – TSEKH gallery, Kyiv, Ukraine), as well as participant of the group exhibitions (2016 – «LEAP TO EUROPE», Vilnius, Lithuania) and contemporary art fairs (2016, 2015 – POSITIONS Berlin, Germany, 2012 – Contemporary Istanbul, Turkey). Furthermore, even before his initial sculpture project «FROM VACATIONERS’ LIFE» (2016 – TSEKH gallery, Kyiv, Ukraine) Ievgen Petrov became widely recognized as sculptor, working in various author techniques. Geography of his fans is very extensive and covers dozens of countries.
