Bohomazov’s works featured at “The Futurist Collection” at the Kroeller-Mueller Museum

“The Futurist Collection” exhibition at the Kröller-Müller Museum will be on display until 9 January 2022. Delighted that several works by Oleksandr Bohomazov, acquired by the museum from James Butterwick are featured in the show.

The collection that Helene Kröller-Müller brought together was lacking in works by futurist artists, which she later deeply regretted. In order to fill this gap, works by Giacomo Balla and Umberto Boccioni were acquired in the 1970s. Particularly in recent years, the futurist collection has been expanded greatly. In the exhibition, the latest acquisitions of Balla and Jules Schmalzigaug are surrounded by works by Umberto Boccioni, Gino Severini, Oleksandr Bohomazov, and Vilmos Huszár.
